Sessions for expectant mamas are some of the most beautiful to shoot. Who couldn't marvel at the celebration of new life? Lisa & Nick met me for one of the most romantic, loving maternity sessions in Petaluma, and I am still in awe of these two!
Each time I shoot a maternity session, I’m still amazed at the beauty and power of an expecting mother’s body. Lisa was so in tune with her body and how to move for each gorgeous shot. Seeing her in the session just proves she's a natural at being a mother, and she looks amazing doing it!
Sonoma County has some of the most scenic landscapes California has to offer, and the scenery combined with Lisa's gown was perfect. Each photo has such an ethereal feel to it, which is appropriate when you're celebrating a real life fairy tale. The natural beauty of the rolling hills and valleys truly accentuated the unbelievable connection between Lisa & Nick. It was such a beautiful day with an amazingly sweet couple.
Nick was so gentle with Lisa and her growing bump, the love he has for her is incredible! While the session celebrated Lisa, it also really showcased their relationship. The smiles and embraces with this couple needed very little guidance and they were so tender with each other during this loving maternity session. After all, they were celebrating the life they've created together, and nothing says romance like building a life with the one you love (including a pet.)
How sweet is it that this couple included their adorable dog as part of the photos? Even the cute pooch seemed excited for the baby and was very cooperative for posing as well! I can’t get enough of the shot with paws on the baby bump, isn’t it precious? As sweet as this day was with their family as it is now, I can't wait to see their growing family in the years to come.
Lisa & Nick, thank you for choosing me to celebrate such a special season in your lives. It was truly a pleasure and I’m so excited for the two of you to transition into parenthood together. I wish you all (and baby!) all the happiness in the world. Congratulations!
